About Theresa: Education / Training Specialist Theresa is currently working with a new grant through ECSO, EEC, and New Profit to provide leadership skills and coaching to early childhood program leaders throughout the state of Massachusetts. She is currently a second year Board Member at large on the Massachusetts Association for the Education of Young Children. Prior to this position she was working as an early educator and public school teacher for many years. Theresa has been in the field of Early Education for 10 years working as a teacher, leader, mentor, coach and advocate for the field. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Sociology from Salem State University in 2010. Then went on to obtain a Leadership Certificate from Quinsigamond Community College, a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Worcester State University(2019), a Post Master’s Certificate in Early Education Research, Policy and Practice from University of Massachusetts Boston ( 2021) and a Doctoral Program in Education Leadership from The University of Florida (2024). In any position her mission is to build equity, while meeting the diverse needs of the children, families, and educators that she works with. Theresa’s work ethics reflects the diversity of her students/ peers and always has an inclusive atmosphere for children, families, and colleagues.
